About us

We are one of the many great Lebanese Families originated from Al Aaqoura العاقورة (Aqoura or Akoura) in Lebanon (Jbeil Caza in Mount Lebanon Province) which is 68km away from Beirut and 1400m above sea level with land surface stretches for about 10 square meters.
Al Aaqoura is one of the oldest villages in history and is the origin of the Maronite Catholics in Lebanon (more then 80% of the Maronite Families originate from Al Aaqoura).
It is also known that the three Lebanese families El-Ghossein, El Jemayel and Maqsoud are originally same families.
It is known that our ancestors moved from Al Aaqoura to Kfarhatna, then some moved to Ain El Qabou, then from there some more moved to Hadath Al Jebbeh, Dar Beechtar, Mazraat Abou Sleibi, Zahle, Douris and to other villages within Lebanon before they started migrating to other countries and spread all over the world mainly to Australia, Africa, America and Europe.
There are also other El-Ghossein Families in Syria (Hauran), Palestine (Gaza, Ramleh, Yafa, Naqab), Egypt, Yemen, Jordan and Iraq. We could be related back in the family tree, but no documentation to confirm this theory.
